The previous weapons that we know of are already considered as far-flung or historic. The modern versions of the first video game weapons are very different not only in looks but also in power. Games like Counter Strike, MU, Ragnarok, and World of Warcraft all bring in weapons that look almost similar to each other. So how different are the modern day game weapons from the first ones?

To answer the question aforementioned in this article, let us first analyze the kind of weapons used before. When the first video games or computer games were introduced, they brought in weapons. These weapons are inconspicuous or they are not that obvious to be weapons. For example, the brick game Tetris has blocks that you can move around or change position. These blocks are actually weapons. Believe it or not those are weapons. The weapons before are very simple and very straightforward. Their only aim is to help you win the game. This is because the games before are also pretty straightforward. You do not have to face enemies nor fight anyone in the game. It is just you and the items of the game. Your aim: to win.

Now, it is time for us to analyze modern day games and at the same time compare the weapons used before and today. First off, the game play. Modern video games or computer games have become more and more complicated through time. They are no longer that straightforward. Rather, the games today have become complicated to play with so many things you need to consider. If before the only thing that you need to consider in playing the game is the game itself, today you need to put in your mind so many things. You will play against enemies and your enemies will also be equipped with weapons that might be more powerful than your own. You need to consider the environment that you are playing with and your character’s skills.

One of the most prominent improvements or changes in computer games through time is its appearance. Games like Counter Strike and World of Warcraft offer visually stunning graphics (for their own kind of play) that awe many players. Another thing that has changed are the weapons. CS weapons and World of Warcraft weapons are very different from the game weapons before. Try playing World of Warcraft or MU or any of the games today and you will notice the big change. They are now bigger, meaner, more powerful and some are even looking more and more like aliens. They pack in more purpose and use compared to the previously introduced weapons. Modern day weapons are more complicated to use. They can be upgraded if the player wants to and they can be swapped to other weapons if the requirements are met. Moreover, modern day weapons require certain skills from characters before they can be used.

It is obvious that game weapons have changed a lot since they were first introduced. However, it should be noted that the changes are for good and now they bring in more fun to the gaming experience.
